Niel Niesen 01/17/2012

Niel Niesen, age 74 of Somerset, lost a tough battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at The Gathering in Stillwater.  Niel was born on November 6, 1937 in Britton, SD.  He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and his loving wife, Jeanne.  Niel is survived by his children, Marshall Niesen, Mary Wilber, Tim (Dawn) Niesen, Terry Niesen, Todd Niesen, Troy Niesen; step-children, Scott (Linda) Ollig, Doug (Lori) Ollig; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Corrine Johnson, Katherine Ramsey; dear friends, George Brier, Joe Stoie, Kathleen Nelson, Bob Henley; some very dear neighbors; and many other family members.  A Celebration of Niel’s life was held on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 1-5 pm at the White Bear Lake VFW 4496 Lake Avenue S White Bear Lake, MN.  “I am going on a new journey now to find my sweet wife, Jeanne, to all others I’ll see ya when I see ya,” Niel.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
