Mildred Olson 03/25/2011

Mildred Olson, age 94 of New Richmond,  died on Friday, March 25, 2011 at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond.  Mildred was born the daughter of Edwin and Helga (Hanson) Berget on February 22, 1917 in the town of Alden, Polk County, Wisconsin.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin “Sec” Olson; an infant daughter, Vivian; son, John; brothers, Pearly “Dick”, Minnerd, Harold, Harvey, and LeMoyne Berget; sisters, Elaine Johnson and Dorothy Holland; and her dancing partner, Alois “Olie” Stoeberl.  Mildred is survived by her brothers, Charles (Elsie) Berget of Milwaukee, Curtis Berget of New Richmond, and F.D. (Leona) Berget of New Richmond; numerous nieces and nephews; grand nieces and grand nephews; many friends; and special friend Mary Kay Lanners.  A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 3pm at Bakken-Young’s Beebe Mortuary in New Richmond. Visitation was also on Saturday from 1-3pm at the funeral home. Spring Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Star Prairie, Wisconsin.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of New Richmond.
