Marcel “Mike” Simon, Jr. age 70 of New Richmond died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at his home. He was born September 29, 1952 the son of Marcel, Sr. and Nancy (Maloney) Simon in New Richmond, WI. Mike graduated from Amery High School in 1970. In younger years, he enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing and hunting. He retired from Andersen Windows after 30+ years. In retirement, he worked at Doyle’s Farm and Home. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Marcel and Nancy Simon; and brother-in-law, Bruce Emerson. He is survived by his sisters, Debbie (Joel) LaVenture and Pam Emerson; nieces, nephews, and two great nephews. Services will be private for family. Cremation services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

Dang I just saw him on the 23rd at ace hardware and talked to him. Mike was a hell of a nice guy. Prayers to his family

I’m going to miss him so much
I worked side by side with Mike for 8 years or so. Mike was a conscientious worker who cared about his job and people he worked with. I will never forget our talks. I will miss you Mike, you are in my thoughts everyday. RIP…….
Saddened to hear of Mike’s passing…and on Christmas Eve. I knew Mike from Andersen’s…he was a conscientious & good worker as well as a person. He will be missed by loved ones.

So sorry to hear that Mike has passed. I can’t imagine losing a sibling. 70 seems so young these days. My heart goes out to you. Sheila and I have been wanting to get together with you, Debbie and Pam, and didn’t have your contact information.
