Michelle “Shelli” Jirik, age 51, of New Richmond, WI passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 after a dignified and courageous 6 year battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer. She was born the daughter of George and Sylvia Richard on August 28, 1967 in Saint Paul, MN. She grew up in West Saint Paul attending Henry Sibley High School graduating with the class of 1985. She married Rick Jirik on March 11, 1995 in Shoreview, MN. Shelli worked for TCF Bank for 30 years. Shelli and Rick moved to New Richmond in 2004. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Shelli loved reading and being outside. She enjoyed attending baseball and softball games. Shelli loved her dogs, they were part of the family. She was a dignified and classy lady who was quietly confident. She is survived by her husband, Rick Jirik; children, Rick (Ashley) Jirik, Danielle (Rolf) Ulvin; Ben (Autumn) Nelson, Callie Jirik, and Jake Jirik; grandchildren, Jack and Sloane Jirik, John Ulvin, and Fergus and Cormac Nelson; parents, George and Sylvia Richard; sisters, Jennifer Richard and Amie Richard; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A Celebration of Shelli’s Life was held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 11 am at Eagle Brook Church Woodbury Campus 11125 Eastview Rd Woodbury, MN 55129. Visitation was also on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 10-11 am at the church. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of New Richmond.
