Michael Ray Garske “Farmer”, age 51, passed away on August 28, 2017. He was born on November 30, 1965. He graduated from New Richmond High School, class of 1984. Mike was very proud of his Eagle Scout award. He worked at Vic’s Crane and Heavy Haul, Inc. in Rosemont, MN as a crane operator. He loved his 1929 Model A, camping at Birchwood Beach in Frederic, WI, riding on his pontoon, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha; daughter, Ashley (Patrick); mother, Benet (Roger) Winberg (nee LeMoine); father, Raymond (Joan (nee Rickey)) Garske; mother-in-law, Arlene Oldenburg; brother, Steve (Donna) Garske; sisters, Lisa (Ron) Drury, Sue (Mike) Felling, Brenda (John) Anderson, Jennifer Johnston; stepsisters, Debbie (Robert) Mattei, Brenda (Brian) Frey, Denise (Brent) McGary, Patti (Duane) Bethke; stepbrother, Trever Winberg; stepsister-in-law, Connie Winberg; brother-in-law, Wayne (Chris) Oldenburg; Mike’s chickens, pigs, two dogs Abby and Molly, cat Daisy, Birchwood Beach campground friends, co-workers, nieces, and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by stepbrother, Rick Winberg; and father-in-law, John Oldenburg.
A celebration of Michael’s life was held Thursday, August 31, 2017 with a service at 6:00 p.m. at Ready Randy’s (1490 131st St. New Richmond, WI) and visitation from 3:00-6:00 p.m. before the service. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral and Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond, WI.

They say only the good die young!! My wife and I didn’t know him that well personally but he always made us feel like we were someone that mattered!!! He always had something good to say to us! Lots of vegetables and how he was making things better for his family and friends! Learned a new crane and procedure from him! You will be missed!!! Rest In Peace BROTHER!!!!!
Mike was well known and liked by all.He worked hard and loved to tell jokes. He will be missed,my sympathy goes out for his family.

Mike was a person you could always count on. Was great working with him. He was always willing to help people, and teach them what he knew. Was an excellent person to have on the job site. I’ll miss Mike a lot. Was a great Union Brother. Rest In Peace my friend. My heart goes out to his family.
