Merlin Turner, age 79, passed away on May 13, 2013 at Regions Hospital. He was born September 7, 1933 to Daniel & Annabel Turner in Garfield, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Carol J. Thatcher on July 27, 1974. He is survived by his wife, Carol J. Turner of Emerald, WI.; daughter Melinda, daughter-in-law Wendy, grandchildren Ryan & Shannon; sister Dorothy Peterson; nieces, nephews and friends; and pets, Shadow & Reggie. He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Annabel; son Danny; brother Harold; brother Kenny; sisters Loretta and Vivian. Merlin was a loving caring strong man. Merlin attended school through the 5th grade. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He especially loved spending time with his father-in-law Calvin Thatcher. He loved all his animals. He worked as a truck driver for Tony Mondoch. Merlin was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan. Before going to bed every night, he would always say good night and I love you to Carol. Graveside service Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11 am at Teegarden Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Baldwin.
