Melody Murphy 06/23/2015

Melody Murphy age 61 of New Richmond died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Region’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN from a brain aneurysm. The daughter of Vivian and Ed Knops was born June 13, 1954 in Stillwater, MN.  She was the oldest of 5. Melody was a loving and caring mother, wife, grandma, daughter, sister and so much more.  Melody was the most gentle, loving, caring, forgiving, loyal, honest, always helping, and could brighten up any gloomy day Christian woman.  She will never be forgotten, and will always be loved by so many friends, family, and adoptive family.  She may only had one child of her own, but she was a mother to many.   Melody was preceded in death by Cindy Harper, Viola Green, Sheridan Murphy, Jeffrey Boardman, Jr., Pat Murphy, and many other loved ones.   She is survived by her husband, Rick; children, Jessica and adoptive children; parents, Vivian and Ed; brothers, Randy (Ann), Tim (Lori), Ronnie (Jovi); nieces, Samantha (Derek), Karrie (Beau), Megan, Rachel; nephew, Kevin; grandchildren, Zakery, Haydn, Jadelynn; and many other family and friends.  A funeral service was held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church (1350 Heritage Drive) in New Richmond.  Visitation was also Saturday from 11:00-1:00 pm at the church.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.  To all her loved ones- “Be Good and I Love you.” Melody, aka Mel/Ma
