Mary A. (Goulette) Moravec of River Falls, Wisconsin, grew up in Bayport, Minnesota, and a graduate of Lansing Community College, passed away at age 85, on Monday, August 19, 2024.
Preceded in death by parents, Dougie and Lil Goulette; beloved daughter, Amy Alwin Roettger; and brother, David Goulette.
Survived and dearly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, John Moravec; her children, Ann (Jim) Young, Dan (MJ) Moravec, Teri (Troy) Conrad, Katie (Carlos) Miranda; grandchildren, Krystal, James, AJ (Trish), Naomi (Matt), Libbe, Jesse (Rachele), Ethan (Tirzah), Chase, Lucas, Nathan and Matias; great grandchildren, Klyde, Eva, Allen, Lily, Oliver, Leo, Callahan, Archer, Stella and Atlas; as well as many extended family and friends.
Mary was a beautiful person inside and out. With her infectious smile and happy personality, she had a way of pulling you in! She loved reading, learning, storytelling, and traveling. Mary lived in Germany, Washington DC, Italy, Australia, Michigan, Arizona and Hudson, Wisconsin before moving to River Falls. Nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her family. God and family were her priorities.
Our deepest appreciation and thanks to the staff at the St Croix Hospice. Their care made Mary’s final journey one of love, grace and peace.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 11:00AM at St. Bridget Catholic Church (211 E Division St.) River Falls, Wisconsin with visitation starting one hour prior to mass at 10:00AM.
Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
