Martha Lee Dodge, age 76, died peacefully at The Estates at Lynnhurst Nursing Home in St Paul MN.

Martha was born March 6th, 1947 in Superior WI, the daughter of Raymond and Marge Dodge. She was raised in Superior and lived there a majority of her life. She enjoyed days at the beach of Lake Superior. She was a graduate of Central High School and received a Bachelors Degree of Biology and a minor in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin, Superior.

Martha was a loving and devoted mother. Her daughter Jenna was the pride and joy of her life. She loved caring for children as a babysitter in her youth but later enjoyed being the neighborhood “candy lady”. Her compassion for people led her to career in nursing. She also cared for many pets and loved cats, especially her cat Felicia.

Martha inherited the Dodge humor. She loved telling jokes, stand up comedy and laughing with friends and family. She also inherited the family love of Green Bay Packers and enjoyed watching football with family.

She loved to swim and has visited many lakes around Wisconsin and Minnesota. She especially enjoyed summers at the family home at Lake Nebagamon. She enjoyed time with family and feeding the ducks on the banks of the lake.

She was a follower of Christ and a lifetime Episcopalian. She was a former member of St. Alban The Martyr, Superior and St. Andrew’s By-The-Lake, Duluth.

She is preceeded in death by her infant brother, Drew, her infant daughter, Rula, her mother Marge (Sackett) Dodge, her father, Raymond Dodge and granddaughter, Nola Janicki.

She is survived by her daughter Jenna Janicki, son-in-law Brad Janicki and sister Nancy Sanoski.
