Marlene Lehman (nee Sabean), age 78 of New Richmond, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters on February 20, 2018. She was born the youngest of five to Vernon and Delilah Sabean on July 30, 1939 at home in the Town of Stanton, St. Croix County, WI. Marlene lived most of her life in the New Richmond area and graduated New Richmond High School, class of 1957. She worked at the hospital and the Health Center before working in Minnesota. She was a hard worker, dedicated to her family, and tried to live her life to the fullest. In her lifetime, Marlene liked to sew, bake, knit, and make candies and candles. She worked hard, loved her two daughters and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Delilah Sabean; siblings, Clifton Sabean, Eleanor Stock, Bill Sabean; and brother-in-law, Jim Klingelhoets. Marlene is survived by her children, Michelle (Boyd) Young and Traci (Jay) Portwood; grandchildren, Amelia Portwood and Cole Young; sister, Delores Klingelhoets; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Memorial service was held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church (365 West River Drive, New Richmond, WI 54017) with visitation one hour prior to the service.
