I clean professionally for the Simmons family so for many years Narina and I would talk every Friday. She was a good listener and veteran mom so I enjoyed our talks. We were always different but respectful of each other. She almost came to work for me one time. Simmons lured her back. She was an extremely hard worker and very reliable and honest. I will remember the Fridays fondly when we would debate whether going to church was necessary and if letting yourself kid have a drink was ok and on and on. Many times she listened to me about my mom’s cruelty. I will miss you friend!!!

I haven’t seen Marina in several years but I can remember how kind she was when she was a customer on my paper route in Roberts and later when I worked at Roberts Grocery. Peace be with all her family and friends.

Marina, what will I do without you? Almost every week, calling, texting, emailing each other for the past, what 30 yrs. A confidant to each other. Less calling, emailing while going through your treatment. Josh, Jake, Jerry, death is so devastating, so final losing my eldest son to the same type of cancer in spring. Nothing fills the void. Her belief in God got me through my grief and we both believed God would make the right decision. She was so giving. Helping everyone. Loved her boys and grandchildren.
“May the Lord watch between me and thee while we are absent one from another.”

Jerry, Jake and Josh: Our hearts were broken to learn of Marina’s passing. We shared many wonderful times together and her kind and caring ways will always be remembered. Aunt Dolores especially recalls how she always enjoyed when Marina was at the farm and later visits to our house. We will miss her greatly but we know she raised wonderful young men and leaves us all filled with the love she generously shared with everyone. May God hold her in His hands and continue to console you with the wonderful memories of this great woman. All our love to you.
