Marilyn Jeanne Clark 09/23/2013

Marilyn Jeanne (Pfluger) Holt Clark age 83 of Plum City, WI died Monday, September 23, 2013.  She was born the daughter of Raymond and Bertha (Flynn) Pfluger on May 23, 1930 in Red Wing, MN.  She grew up in rural Hager City, WI and attended the Wilson School during her elementary years and graduated from Red Wing Central High School, Red Wing, MN. She worked at the Red Wing Potteries for 4 years as a pottery painter.  After her marriage to Clyde Holt and the raising of 7 children, she attended the nursing program in Red Wing and became an LPN.  During her nursing career, she worked at St. John’s Hospital, Durand Hospital, Plum City Care Center, and Seminary Home, Red Wing.  Jeanne enjoyed her travels to Alaska and China, fulfilling her childhood dreams.  She was a wonderful seamstress and created many beautiful quilts as well as garments for her children and grandchildren.  She loved to go antiquing and bargain hunting with her close friends.  She loved her children and grandchildren, collecting and treasuring mementoes of their lives.  Her life at the Plum City Care Center for the past 3 years was filled with the love and tender care provided by all of the staff.  She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her throughout her life but we are comforted by the knowledge that she has entered her eternal home through the grace of her Savior and Lord.  Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Darlene; infant brother, Lloyd; and granddaughter, Suzanne.  She is survived by her children, Sally (Doug) Bystrom, Daniel C. (Lynda) Holt, Kathleen Holt, Patricia (Gary) Flora, Nathan (Krissa) Holt, Kelly Holt and Carolyn Kernstock; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.  A memorial service was held Saturday, Septmeber 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the United Methodist Church in Maiden Rock.  Visitation was also Saturday from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the church.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Maiden Rock.
