Maria Figi 10/03/2017

Maria Delaluz Figi, age 81, of River Falls, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at her home.  She was born the 9th of 12 children to Francisco and Guadalupe Mollineda on October 4, 1935 in Uruapan Michoacan, Mexico.  When Maria was a young girl, her family moved to Guadalajara, Mexico.  She married Russell Figi and emigrated to the United States.  Maria was a homemaker and mother of 5 children.   She is remembered as selfless with a heart of gold, who loved her family immensely.  Maria was a fantastic cook and enjoyed gardening, canning and baking bread.  Recently, she took up painting and she also crocheted and did embroidery.  Maria liked trips to the casino, shopping, going for rides, and watching a good mystery on television.  She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Luis, Ana Maria, Francisca, Elisa, Antonio, Teresa, Roberto, and Pilar.  Maria is survived by her husband, Russell; children, Eduardo Figi, Carlos (Dena) Figi, Antonio Figi, Carmen (Todd) Wick, Christina (Frederic) Feisthauer; grandchildren, Ryan, Ana, Alex, Jacob, Amanda, Adam, Trina, William, Joseph; siblings, Isaac, Rafael and Socorro Mollineda; special niece, Estela (Jose) Godina; other numerous nieces and nephews.  A funeral service was held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11 am at Bakken-Young Funeral Home (805 E Division St.) in River Falls.  Visitation was one hour prior to the service.  Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
