Margaret Kramer 05/19/2015

Margaret J. Kramer, nee Erlitz, age 96 of Hudson, WI and formerly of Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson after a lengthy illness.  Margaret was born on August 18, 1918 in Stillwater, MN the daughter of Alex and Marie (Nelson) Erlitz and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1936.  She married Darrell Kramer on October 9, 1945 in Dubuque, Iowa.  Margaret and Darrell had several business ventures before starting Midwest Directory in 1979.  Margaret was not active in this business and worked for McCleary Industries for ten years.  However, Margaret was happiest being a homemaker and entertaining family and friends.  They also owned the Manor Restaurant in Beloit where they enjoyed dining and dancing.  Margaret and Darrell also like to travel, go fishing in Canada, and entertain on their houseboat.  Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Marie Erlitz; husband, Darrell Kramer; brothers, Albert (Florence), Warren (Violet), Frank, and Donald (Eileen) Erlitz; sister, Lillian (Ed O’Hare, Gene White) O’Hare White; brother-in-law, Russell Bonse; and sister-in-law, Stella Comer.  She is survived by her brother, Charles Erlitz; sisters, Hazel Bonse and Anne (Russell) Nelson; sister-in-law, Beverly Erlitz Lloyd; brother-in-law, Les (Freida) Kramer; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jim (Betty) Ament.  A funeral service was held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home 502 3rd Street Hudson, WI.  Visitation was also Tuesday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.  Interment was Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 11 am in Eastlawn Cemetery, Beloit, WI.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Hudson.
