Margaret Bergum 05/05/2011

Margaret K. Bergum age 94 of rural Glenwood City died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond.  She was born the daughter of Carl and Margarette (Seim) Bergum on August 17, 1916 in the Town of Springfield, WI.  She attended Maple Grove Elementary School.  Maggie was a pioneer in St. Croix County, farming all her life.  She enjoyed her cattle and pets and she made delicious apple pies and bread.  Maggie is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Theodore; sisters, Inger, Julia, Dagny and Emma.  She is survived by nieces and nephews.  A special thank you to the staff at the American Heritage Care Center for their exceptional care for Maggie over these past years.  A funeral service was held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home in Baldwin.  Visitation was also Monday from 1:00-2:00 pm before the service.  Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hersey, WI.  Arrangements were with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Baldwin.
