Lynne Peterson 01/14/2024

Lynne Marie (Prochaska) Peterson, age 57, of Hudson, WI passed away with family by her side in her home on Sunday January 14, 2024, after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer.

Lynne was born on April 14, 1966, in Mankato, MN to Sharon and Robert Prochaska. She attended elementary school in Mankato and later graduated from St. Clair High School. Lynne was working at Shopko in Mankato where she met the love of her life, Brian. Lynne and Brian got married in La Crosse, WI on July 11, 1987. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Bobbie and Karlye.

Lynne and Brian were inseparable, as they spent every moment of their lives together for the past 40 years. Together they successfully owned and operated their own business ‘A Clean Look’ for over 20 years. Following ‘A Clean Look,’ they found a passion for flipping houses together.

A few of Lynne’s passions included planning parties/events and purchasing gifts for her friends and loved ones. It didn’t matter how big or small the occasion, Lynne could always be relied on for putting on a spectacular event, showcasing her impeccable attention to detail, and bringing in her personality and creativity by providing the signature staple – the “fun napkins”.

The highlight of 2023 for Lynne was planning both of her daughters’ weddings;  Bobbie’s in June at their home in Hudson, WI and Karlye’s in September at a beautiful wedding venue in St. Paul, MN.

Lynne was known for many things, but the most predominant things were her spunky personality (that she still even expressed until the very end), and her generosity and kindness in all she did.

Lynne will remain in the hearts of her husband, Brian; her children, Bobbie (Matthew) Manders and Karlye (Kevin) Nochez; her mother, Sharon Prochaska; brother, Jim (Janelle) Prochaska; mother in law, Carol Peterson; sister in law Lisa (Steve) Geier;  brother in laws, Michael Peterson and Kurt (Mary) Peterson; and her beloved dogs and grand dogs, Hank, Petey, Louis, Nash and Dexter.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert “Bob” Prochaska; and father-in-law, Donald Peterson.

Per Lynne’s wishes, instead of a traditional funeral service, the family hosted a party to celebrate her life and asked for you to consider bringing a package of “fun napkins” – as what better way to celebrate Lynne. The party was held at Troy Burne Golf Club at The Aisling event center on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1-4 pm. A small prayer and eulogy was at 2:30 pm.

Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

    Brian, Bobbi and Karyle,
I am so very sorry. I remember when I first met Lynne at Bobbi’s and Patsy’s ballet class when they were 5. She was always so kind and lovely to everyone. It was fun volunteering with her in Mrs. Cameron’s 1st grade class for holiday parties. She was all about all the details and every bell and whistle. Lynne, I will miss you and you will be missed in our community so much. Bobbi and Karylie, I loved hanging out with your mom so much. Brian, I admired you guys for being a great team raising those two girls and running a cool business together. I’m so sorry and praying for you guys. Sending love to you all and all who love her always.
    Love,
    Genie

I am so sorry for your loss.
Lynne was a great classmate. Always finding the good in everyone, Very bubbly and did get in trouble for talking during class more than once. She would also get me to skip study hall or say we were going to the library and instead go sit in her car so she could have a smoke and we could listen to music. We also sang an original song name Friends in a talent show at school.
I loss track of Lynne after high school but thought of her often as I drive by her house almost daily.
    RIP Lynne
