Lucille Kaemmerling, age 98, died peacefully surrounded by family on March 23, 2015 at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond, Wisconsin. She was born on February 17, 1917 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Fred Oehler and Emily Stingl. On June 8, 1940 she married her loving husband Lester Kaemmerling. Lucille worked from age 15 to 80 at the Ace Hardware store in Milwaukee doing bookkeeping. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and baking. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Harvey Oehler. She is survived by her son, James (Judith) Kaemmerling; brothers, Arthur (Grace) Oehler, and Fred Oehler; grandchildren, Jennifer (Henry) Klitgard, Jay Kaemmerling, and Jaime (Nathan) Isaac; great grandchildren, Abigail, Emily and Allison Klitgard, and Isabel, Eliza, and Delilah Isaac. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday March 30, 2015 at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the CHURCH. Please join the family after the services in the church basement for lunch. Interment at the parish cemetery.
