Lucile Abrahamson 12/30/2010

Lucile M. Crownhart Hunter Vorwald Abrahamson age 93 of River Falls died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Kinnic Long Term Care Center.  The daughter of Maurice and Myrtle (Halberg) Crownhart, Lucile Mertes Crownhart was born February 1, 1917, in Balsam Lake, WI.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended Grantsburg Lutheran Church.  On July 1, 1943, she married Henry Daniel “Dan” Hunter of Siren, WI at Mare Island Naval Chapel in Vallejo, CA.  The couple was blessed with three children, Larry, Susan and Ruth Ann.  They moved to River Falls, where Dan started Hunter Electric.  After Dan’s death in 1960, she married Jerome Vorwald in 1964.  Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Dan, Jerome and Ray; sisters, Lavone and Bea; and brother Irwin.  Survivors include, son, Larry; daughters, Susan (Bill) Huppert and Ruth Ann (Larry) Danielson all of River Falls; grandchildren, Caroline (Huppert) Stitt, Matthew Huppert, Craig Huppert, Neil Danielson, Kyle Danielson, Nathan Hunter, Angie (Hunter) Johnson, Rae Ann Tressler and Greg Tressler; eleven great-granchildren; brother, Maurice (Hildur) Crownhart; sister-in-law, Delores Crownhart; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11:00 am at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in River Falls.  Visitation was also on Saturday from 10-11 am before the service.  Private interment will be in St. Bridget’s Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
