Luanne Linehan 07/17/2015

Luanne (Larson) Linehan, 80, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, July 17, 2015.  Luanne was born in Minneapolis, MN on May 13, 1935.  As a young child, Luanne moved to River Falls, WI with her parents Ray and Nimie Larson, brother, Roger and sister, Lois.  She married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Daniel Linehan, on June 11, 1955.  Through their years together Luanne and Dan raised their four children and travelled the world.  Her greatest joy was simply spending time with her family.  She loved playing card games, “coffeeing” with her many friends, sewing and needle work, playing with, tickling, and singing silly songs with her grandchildren, and “wintering” in Florida with Dan.  Luanne’s kind, gentle and giving spirit endeared her to all who were fortunate to have their lives touched by her.  Luanne is survived by and will be dearly missed by her husband, Dan; two sons, Steve (Patsy) Linehan and Jeff (Mary) Linehan, both of River Falls; two daughters, Susie (Chris) Myers of Memphis, TN and Kris Neimy of River Falls; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.  Luanne’s life will be celebrated at St. Bridget Catholic Church.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church in River Falls.  Visitation was Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 5-7 pm at St. Bridget Catholic Church and on Thursday from 10-11 am before the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude’s or Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
