Lois J. Meyer, age 92 of New Richmond, WI, died on Monday, April 15, 2024, at the Deerfield Gables in New Richmond. Lois was born the daughter of Arnold and Hilda (Klinker) Wendland on January 4, 1932, at home on the family farm. She grew up near Randall, MN and graduated from Little Falls High School. Lois ran a pool hall in Randall and worked on the farm. She was married to Robert Meyer on July 28, 1951. Robert had a career in the Army and the new family moved many times. In 1963 they settled on Cedar Lake. Lois lived on Cedar Lake until Robert’s death in 2003 and she moved into New Richmond. Through the years, Lois worked in various restaurant jobs as a cook. Eventually she went to work at NR Industries where she worked for many years until retiring. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, pontoon rides, cooking, entertaining family and friends at the lake, and socializing at her favorite establishment. Lois was an active, hard-working women, who was strong willed and outspoken. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Hilda Wendland; husband, Robert Meyer; son-in-law, Burt Kulzer; grandson, Philip Hoogheem; granddaughter, Melissa Meyer; siblings, Dottie (Richard) Johnson, Arlene (Russ) Brastad; and brother-in-law, Gordy Olson. Lois is survived by children, Robert (Gail) Meyer, Steve (Jean) Meyer, Sherry Kulzer, Cindy (Dave Walitshek) Meyer, Rich (Michelle) Meyer; grandchildren, Jason (Jana) Meyer, Nathan (Wendy Zemlicka) Meyer, Marie (Matt) Oldeheist, Brett (Kacy) Meyer, Nicole (Dustin) Mudd, Katie (Scott) Cole, Eric (Anna) Meyer, Scott (Sarah) Meyer, Arlen Kulzer, Curtis (Brooke) Kulzer, Tyler Kulzer, Addam (Kristin) Hoogheem, Wayne (Ali) Hoogheem, Rodney Dionne, Dustin (Elizabeth) Meyer, Darren Meyer, Danielle (Matt) Meyer, Devin Meyer; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; siblings, Joannie Olson, Donna (Ed) Zinteck, Danny Wendland; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Private Family Service was held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery in Star Prairie, WI. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

I worked with Lois [Morris} at NR Ind. Loved working with her and even enjoyed an adult beverage with her and Bob as well as others. So sad to hear of her passing. I saw her at Wal-mart in the last few months and we enjoyed a hug and laughs together. Blessings to the family and may this beautiful Lady. Rest In Peace!!!
