Lois Manske 06/05/2011

Lois Mae Manske, age 59 of Star Prairie, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Lois was born the daughter of Lewis and Eleanor (Hofland) Larson on October 19, 1951 in Amery, Wisconsin.  She was a graduate of Osceola High School with the class of 1970.  On June 10, 1972, Lois married Jerry Manske.  She worked at Friday’s Canning Corporation for 20 years.  Lois then spent time doing daycare in people’s homes before going to work in the Bakery at Eccono Foods where she spent 10 years.  She was retired the past 6 years.  Lois enjoyed riding Harley, NASCAR, the Packers, and spending time with her granddaughter, Baylie.  She was a friendly, giving person, who loved life.  Lois was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Eleanor Larson.  She is survived by her husband, Jerry Manske of Star Prairie; daughter, Lisa (Shawn) Whitehead of Amery; grandchildren, Baylie, Tiffany, and Tyler Whitehead; siblings, Jerry (Mary) Larson, Lorraie (Louis) Osborne, David Larson, Merlin (Linda) Larson, LeRoy Larson, Sheila Hoefs, James “Ernie” Larson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  A Memorial Service was held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 2 pm at West Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Alden, Wisconsin.  Memorial visitation was also on Friday from 1-2 pm at the church.  Cremation provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of New Richmond.
