Lois Jeanne Lukasiewicz, age 64 of River Falls, WI, went home peacefully to Jesus on Monday, April 10, 2017 at her home in River Falls. Lois was born the daughter of Arlie and Bernice (Bilse) Matthys on July 3, 1952 in Menomonie, WI. Lois graduated from Ashland High School with the class of 1970. She attended Concordia University – St. Paul for two years where she met her future husband, Frank Lukasiewicz. They were married on May 12, 1973 in Ashland, WI. Lois returned to school later in life at the University of Wisconsin River Falls, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Psychology. Lois worked at various places, including UWRF and The Golden Needle Fabric Shop. She was a Make-A-Wish grantor, worked with Love in Action and the MN AIDS Project. Lois had a speaking ministry about the Christian response to AIDS. Together with her husband Frank, Lois was instrumental in starting Servant of the Shepherd Church where she was the secretary, treasurer and music coordinator. Lois was a member of Luther Memorial Church for many years. She enjoyed baking, cooking, traveling, and making beautiful personalized cards for friends and family. Lois was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who always focused on others. She was passionate about helping people and had an incredible Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arlie and Bernice Matthys; and sister, Brenda Matthys. Lois is survived by her husband, Frank Lukasiewicz; daughter, Amy (Wade) Stern; grandchildren, Kylynne, Joseph, and Jackson Stern; sisters, Linda (Douglas) Less and Barbara (John) Dickson; nieces and nephew, Jamie Smieja, Dusty Smieja, and Emily Dickson; and her loving dog Sophie Sue. A Funeral Service was held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11 am at Servant of the Shepherd Church 103 N 4th Street River Falls, WI. Visitation was held Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 3-7 pm at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home 805 E Division Street River Falls and on Friday from 10-11 am at the church. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls. Memorials may be directed to Servant of the Shepherd Church. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.

God bless you, Frank. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I am thankful for the way Lois knew Jesus. He was her Savior and the Lord of her life.
