Lois Everson 08/15/2012

Lois M. Everson, age 80 of Baldwin, died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Baldwin Care Center.  Lois was born the daughter of Knute and Alma (Johnson) Baardson on August 23, 1931 in Rush River Township.  She grew up in Rush River, and graduated from Baldwin High School.  On April 13, 1949, she married Arthur L. “Bud” Everson.  They farmed in Eau Galle Township.  Lois enjoyed working at the Hammond Hotel and later for her beloved brother-in-law “Perk” at Gregerson Hardware  where she made many friends.  She was active with her Homemakers group and the Women of Peace Lutheran Church.  Lois was always cooking and baking and was a very organized person.  In 1979, they sold the farm and moved into Baldwin.  It was then that they enjoyed spending winters at their home in Palm Springs, CA.  Lois went to work for Toro in Hudson.  Bud’s health began to fail, and he died in September of 1989.  Lois married Raymond Heebink on January 13, 1993.  She was an avid Packer Fan and loved Old Time Music and her cat Fluffy.  Lois was an outgoing people person who made friends everywhere she went.  In her twilight years she enjoyed entertaining family and friends on her deck at Pike Lake.  She was caring and fun loving with a great sense of humor.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Knute and Alma Baardson; husbands, Arthur “Bud” Everson and Raymond Heebink; and siblings, Marvin “Dempsey” Baardson, Kenneth Baardson, Pearl Gregerson, Marcella Ianovich, Ruby Rudesill, Adeline Olson, and Inez Heebink.  Lois is survived by her children, Ron (Joann) Everson of Amery, WI, Cheryl Lindgard of Middleton, WI, Douglas (Maria Blaser) Everson of Chetek, WI, Randy Everson of Baldwin, WI, and Kevin Everson of Baldwin, WI; grandchildren, Jason (Natalie) Kenyon, Jennifer (Brian Kelly) Everson, Jerry (Danielle Newman) Kenyon, Nicole (James Harper) Kenyon, Lindsey Everson, Ross “Buddy” Schewe, Courtney Everson, Donna Hampton, Destiny Dow; many great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Lyla Baardson.  A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 12 pm at the Historic Woodside Place. Visitation was also Saturday from 10:30 – 12 pm at Woodside. Interment was in the Woodside Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Ross Arthur “Buddy” Schewe, Jason Kenyon, Jerry Kenyon, Dave Niederer, Tim Ramberg, Tom Ramberg.  Memorials may be directed to Peace Lutheran Church or the Baldwin Care Center.  Arrangements were with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Baldwin.
