Lillian Shemon 10/02/2014

Lillian Shemon was born on June 18, 1921 in Fairmont, MN daughter of John and Antoinette Kramer.  She was married to Richard on October 22, 1949 in Fairmont, at St. John’s Catholic Church.  In 1954, they moved to Roberts, moving from Minneapolis, MN.  They enjoyed small town living.  Lillian went to join her husband Richard in eternal peace on Thursday, October 2, 2014.  She was blessed to have enjoyed a full and healthy life, shared with her family and friends.  She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchild.  She was a kind and generous person, her home was a gathering place for friends to share warmth and friendship.  We celebrate her life and know she has found eternal peace and happiness in the arms of God.  We will miss her but we feel blessed to have had her among us for so many years.  Together we rejoice that she now rests in the arms of the Savior.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents, her sister, all her aunts, uncles, brother-in-laws, and nephew.  She is survived by son, Tom; daughter, Mary; grandchildren, Richard (Dana), Samantha Jo, Joseph, Bobby John; great granddaughter, Lillian Louise; sister-in-laws, Arlene Peterson, Phyllis Schmidt, Beatrice Shemon; dear friend, Shirley Nilssen; many nieces and nephews.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church.  Visitation was held Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 3-7 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in River Falls and also Monday from 10-11 am at the church.  Interment was in St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
