Levi Krampert 04/16/2022

Levi Steven Krampert, age 33 of Bloomer, WI died on Saturday, April 16, 2022. Levi was born the son of Steven and Debbie Krampert on September 2, 1988 in Stillwater, MN. He grew up in New Richmond, WI, and graduated from New Richmond High School with the class of 2007. After high school, Levi went to WyoTech in Laramie, WY where he earned his degree in diesel mechanics and hot rod frame fabrication. His first job as a diesel mechanic was working for Wyoming Machinery at Eagle Butte Mine in Gillette, WY. He then moved to Chisholm, MN where he worked on heavy equipment for Hibbing Taconite. This is when Levi met Laura Oberstar and they were married on August 17, 2013 in Duluth, MN. They spent a few years in La Crosse, WI where Levi worked for Fabick Cat. In 2018, they moved to Bloomer, WI where he continued his career with Fabick in Eau Claire, WI. Levi had many different hobbies which included hunting, fishing, snowmobiling in the mountains out West, working on cars, and participating in and watching tractor pulls. From the time Levi was one year of age, he never missed the Ridgeland Tractor Pull. Levi loved riding his side by side throughout the area with his wife. One of his favorite activities was spending weekends at his family’s cabin riding with them. He was a passionate, hardworking, and loving man. He took great pride in what he did and in those he cared for. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Larry Wold and Richard Krampert. Levi is survived by his wife, Laura; his German Shepherds, Axle, Stella, and Elvis; parents, Steven and Debbie Krampert; sister, Alicia Krampert; grandmothers, Janet (Don) Johnson, Carol (Ray) Talmage; in-laws, John and Peggy Oberstar; sister-in-law, Lisa Oberstar; nieces, Emma Oberstar and Xalia Schubert; and many family and friends. A Celebration of Levi’s Life was held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 2 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation 728 S Knowles Avenue New Richmond, WI. Visitation was on Sunday from 12 – 2 pm at the funeral home. Dress is casual. In honor of Levi, please feel free to wear your boots, jeans and something Caterpillar or International Harvester if you have them. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
