Leroy Larson 11/11/2017

Leroy E. Larson, age 82 of Baldwin, WI, died on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Baldwin Care Center.  Leroy was born the son of Alfred and Gladys (Swenson) Larson on April 11, 1935 in the Town of Martell, Pierce County, Wisconsin.  He attended grade school in Martell and graduated from Ellsworth High School with the class of 1953.  On June 9, 1956, Leroy was married to Loretta Timm at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in New Richmond, WI.  He spent 40 years working at the Farmers Elevator in Baldwin.  He liked wood working, taking photographs, and gardening.  He enjoyed watching WWF and The Andy Griffith Show.  Leroy was a quiet, gentle man who was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Gladys Larson; sister, Muriel (Roger) Michaelson; and sister-in-law, Elaine Larson.  Leroy is survived by his wife, Loretta Larson; sons, Timothy (Joan) Larson and Steven (Doreen) Larson; grandsons, Jason (Julie) Larson and Nathanial (Leigha) Larson; step-grandson, Benjamin (Claire) Fuller; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Zachary Larson, Isabella Larson, Alexander Korevaar, Nicholas Butkas-Taft, and Olivia, James, and Charlotte Fuller; brother, Arlyn Larson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  A Memorial Service was held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11 am at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Baldwin.  Visitation was also Friday from 9:30-11 am at the church.  Memorials may be directed to Gethsemane Lutheran Church.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Baldwin.
