Lee Koenig, age 61 of Hudson, WI died Friday, November 2, 2018 at Christian Community Homes in Hudson. Lee was born the son of Norman and Verna Koenig (nee Dehnel) on January 18, 1957 in Wausau, WI. He grew up in Wausau attending Wausau West High School, graduating class of 1975. Following graduation, he worked for a few years in Washington D.C. with the FBI. He also worked as an underwriter for a company in Bloomington, MN. He moved back to Wausau working as a sales associate for various companies. Lee moved to Hudson in 2010 after his divorce from Sue Mueller. He loved golfing, ice fishing, and attending Badger and Packers football games as well as enjoyed spending time with his friends and his dogs. He was an outgoing, fun-loving man who showed kindness and compassion towards others. Lee is preceded in death by parents, Norman and Verna; brother, Leon Koenig; and sister-in-law, Bobbie (Lyle) Koenig. He is survived by siblings, Lyle Koenig, Nancy (Paul) Spano, and Ronald Machel; aunts, Helen Schoepke and Beaty Reichl; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. The family would like to thank Christian Community Homes and Lakeview hospice for their extraordinary care Lee had received. A memorial service held on Saturday,  November 17, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church (1205 6th Street Hudson, WI 54016) at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
