We loved La Vonne! She was a spark at every gathering and her laugh was incredibly infectious. She was the sweetest woman you’d ever hope to meet and always a pleasure to be around. She’ll be missed. Our condolences to the entire Schalla family.

I had the great opportunity of working with LaVonne at Wayne’s Pharmacy. She was always a ray of sunshine — perky and bright with her black hair piled on top of her head in a bun. Her laughter was infectious and came easily, making it a fun and very pleasant work day. It was my pleasure to know her. My sincere sympathy to all of the Schalla family. Rest in Peace dear lady.

LaVonne was a woman who could make anyone laugh no matter what mood they were in. I so loved working with her in Farm and Home days. She was the most sweetest and loving woman you could have for a friend. Even though I hadn’t seen her in quite a while, her personality will be forever remembered. My sincere sympathy to ya’ll! Praying for comfort.

I’m just reading here today that LaVonne died- I am so sorry to hear and to have missed her service and expressing my condolences to her dear family.
Along with Sharon, I worked with LaVonne at Wayne’s Pharmacy. She was a DarlinJoytoBehold! She tottered around all day in very high heels, full make up and high updoo. She laughed so hard at we silly young things and made us all feel special and cute.
She was the special one ! What a joy. We celebrate her life and grieve your loss.

I worked with LaVonne at Farm & Home 1985-1987. Every time I would see her after that, she remembered me and would call me Sweetie or Dear (I know she did that to everyone–that’s one of the things I loved about her). She always made me and everyone around her feel special. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
