Kirk Green 06/19/2025

Kirk Arlan Green, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, at his home on June 19, 2025.

He is survived by his beloved partner, Sara McPhetres, who brought him love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they shared a love of travel—exploring the U.S. on his Harley and enjoying rides with their friends.

Born on April 28, 1958, Kirk was the son of Carole Green and the late Marvin Green. He is also survived by his sister, Samantha Swank (Steven), and brother, Korey Green (Stephanie).

Kirk was the proud father of three children: Dannielle Smith (Nick), Sonia Bogenhagen (Eric) and Kody Green. He was a devoted grandfather to Walter and Warrick Bogenhagen, and his greatest joy came from time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Kirk graduated from Red Wing High School in 1977.  A lifelong hard worker, Kirk bartended at the Mallalieu Bar in Hudson, WI, and went on to own and operate multiple businesses, including the Sandbar in Hudson from 1991 to 1999, and KAG Construction alongside his father and brother from 1995 to 2007. For the past 18 years, he worked in lift maintenance at Afton Alps, where he was a respected and familiar face.

Kirk found freedom and peace on the open road riding his Harley, snowmobiling with his family and he was a proud NASCAR fan who never missed a race. His compassion extended beyond people—he was an animal lover through and through.

Kirk’s legacy is one of warmth, humor, and a genuine love for those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A Celebration of Kirk’s Life will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 4-8 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 728 S Knowles Avenue New Richmond, WI.  Interment will be with his father Marvin in Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park, WI.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
