Kevin Rickelman 12/25/2017

Kevin Rickelman, 54, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Christmas morning 2017. Preceded in death by parents, William and Dolores Rickelman. Beloved brother to Rick, Ray, Rob, Kurt, Keith, Kerry and Kathy Rickelman. Devoted Husband to Julie and the amazing father of Ryan, Brandon and William Rickelman. Favorite uncle to numerous nieces and nephews across both sides of the family line. Best friend and class clown to every boss, colleague, and trainee he ever encountered. He will be affectionally remembered and missed by many.  Private services will be held at a later date.

Kevin was born in Melrose and raised in Oak Park, IL. He loved his Chicago sports teams (except the cubs) and loved spending time joking around with friends and family. He Graduated at OPRF and moved shortly after to San Diego where he met his true love, and went on to raise three sons. His boys were the light of his life. He was an involved parent and coach for football, baseball, soccer and almost anything else he could show his support in. A natural salesman and teacher, Kevin found his true calling at 3M, a company he worked hard for just shy of 20 years. Kevin was passionate about giving a helping hand to anyone around, he proudly supported St. Jude’s Children Hospital and Wounded Warriors Project. We will all be eternally grateful for the times and laughs shared with this wonderful man.
