Kenneth Rimarcik 05/14/2021

Kenneth John Rimarcik, age 56, of New Richmond died on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.  Ken was born the son to Paul and Jerrilyn (Hirdler) Rimarcik on December 23, 1964 in Minneapolis, MN. He served his country in the US Army at Ft. Knox.  He graduated from Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis pursuing a career in Welding.  On July 20, 2012, he married Rhonda Nyhus in Hudson, WI.  Ken worked for Schwing Bioset in Somerset making screw feeder tub5-treatment plant (waste receptors).  He loved to fish and work with his hands doing carpentry, wood floors and remodeling houses.  He also enjoyed the thrill of scratch off lottery tickets.  He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; siblings, Mac (Suzie) McDonald, Randy McDonald; Greg (Lynn) Rimarcik; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Jerrilyn Rimarcik; aunts and uncles, Larry Hirdler, Jimmy Hirdler, Jill Reed, David Wright, Gerald and Louise Hirdler; Joseph and Mary Rimarcik; and father-in-law, Melvin Nyhus.  A funeral service was held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 1:00 pm at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church (365 West River Dr.) in New Richmond with visitation beginning at 11:00 am at church.  Interment will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner, WI on Tuesday, May 25th at 1:00 pm.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
