June Lewis, 95, passed away on July 31, 2019, at Woodland Hill in Hudson. June was born on June 3, 1924, in La Crosse, WI, the daughter of John and Margaret Schnell. She married Earl Lewis in 1943, and they were married for 71 wonderful years. June managed their home, raised four children, and then started a career as Pierce County Clerk of Court where she proudly served for 12 years. June was an exceptional seamstress, an avid bridge player, loved to host a party and to dance. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were special to her, and they treasured the time spent with her throughout the years. June and Earl traveled the world together, making many trips to Hawaii, Alaska, Central and South America, Europe, the South Pacific, and parts of Asia. June was preceded in death by her husband Earl, son John, and her daughter Jane (Duane) Wisse. June is survived by her daughters Barbara Louks (John Whitig), of Philadelphia, and Linda (Omar) Warner of River Falls; brother John (Mardell) Schnell, Rice Lake; sisters-in-law Margie Lohman, Red Wing, and Margaret Lewis, Albuquerque; grandchildren, Scott Louks, Philadelphia; Jennifer (Chad) Greenquist, Tokyo, Japan; Jake Wisse (Susie Carlson), Hudson; Liliana Warner (Kenneth Meade), Atlanta; Tony Warner, St. Paul; and great-grandchildren Jonathan Peterson, Zach and Maya Greenquist, and Madison, Skyler, and Scout Wisse. Visitation was on Saturday, August 10 from 10-11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of June’s Life, at Woodland Hill, 441 Stageline Rd, Hudson, WI 54016.
