Julie Green 09/29/2022

Julie Victoria Green died at her home on September 29, 2022, at the age of 79.

Julie loved Jesus. Her passion for God lead many of her family and friends to personal relationships with Jesus. She graduated from Cardinal Stritch College in Milwaukee with a Masters Degree in Library Science and Art. A wonderful artist in every medium, she began with calligraphy and went on to master oil painting, pottery, icon painting, porcelain painting, beading and more. She also taught these arts to countless students along the way. She studied her Bible with the same vigor she applied to her artwork and was the ‘go to person’ with any questions regarding spiritual life. Julie had an amazing charisma, and a wonderful sense of humor. She loved laughing, and seldom could you ever leave without sharing in her joy and love of life, and her collecting love of all things flamingo! She will be missed by all who knew her!

Julie is preceded in death by her father, John V. Green; her mother, E. Virginia Green; brothers, John M. Green, and Mark S. Green.

Julie is survived by her sisters, Mary (Curt) Henderson and Laurel (Dale) Avery. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces Aaron, Megan and Adam Henderson and Naomi (Eric) Nelson and Ben Dwyer; nine great nephews and nieces; and her long-time friend and caregiver, Sylvia Uebelhor.

Memorials may be directed to Lakeview Hospice. A private memorial service was held at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in New Richmond, WI.  Interment was in the New Richmond Cemetery.

Cremation services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

Our hearts are saddened by the news of Julie’s passing. She was a wonderful person with a warm and welcoming personality. I always enjoyed her laugh, that was one of the many things I loved about Julie. Most importantly it was her love for Jesus that stood out the most. She lived a life that was transformed and it was made evident every day. I wished we could have shared one last goodbye. She will forever be in our hearts. We will see you again over in the Glory Land!
