Judith Ann O’Neil, 82, passed away December 6th, 2024, surrounded by family.
Judy was born on February, 23rd, 1942 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. She is preceded in death by her parents Jean and Roy Simenson.
Those close to Judy have experienced her kindness and unique sense of humor. Her enjoyment in life included finding a good sale, antiquing, playing all forms of card games (identifying anyone who beats her as a “cheater”), and spending time with family. Her and Duane enjoyed years of being “snow birds”, in Chandler, AZ while finding great friends across the states and Canada. Her kindness and humor will be carried on through her loving husband, Duane, and their son Chris with wife Terri; and through her grandchildren Collin (wife Kaitlyn) and Conor (wife Kristina), and her great-grandchildren (Keegan and Kohen).
In celebration of Judy’s life, a gathering of family and friends are welcome to visit on Saturday, February 15th, 2025 from 11am-2pm at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 211 East Division Street River Falls, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Judy’s memory to Diabetes.org
Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

So sorry for your loss. It was a year ago that my wife went to her heavenly home. I know your ambivalence. You and your family are in my prayers.

Very sorry about Judy, Filky!
Duane… I am so sorry to read about the loss of your sweet Judy. Christmas this year will be very different for you, but what better place could there be (aside from with her family) for Judy to spend Christmas than in heaven! What a celebration she gets to witness and participate in! I’m sure she will spend you a special gift from above, and when you receive it, you will know it is from her. I’ll be thinking about you and your family. (Sue from the dental office in case you’re wondering. )
So sad to see this, our condolences to Duane and family.
