Joyce Olien 02/16/2016

Joyce was born the daughter of Oscar and Margaret (Clark) Olien on February 6, 1956 at Holy Family Hospital in New Richmond.  She passed away peacefully with family at her side on February 16, 2016.  Joyce was very strong and determined to overcome the many health issues she faced during her entire adult life.  She enjoyed sharing her artistic abilities by sketching birds and freely giving them to others.  Many will remember Joyce for her gentle spirit and approval with a wink and that wonderful smile!
Joyce was preceded in death by her father and best friend, Oscar and her grandparents.  She is survived by her loving mother, Margaret (Peg), brothers John, Tom (Gretchen), Bruce (Helen) and sister, Linda (Gary) Emery as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. 
Mass of Christian Burial was at Immaculate Conception Church in New Richmond, WI on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 12 noon.  Visitation was held for two hours prior at the church. 
Joyce was very thankful for all the help and care that she received from the St. Croix Health Center over the years.  Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
