Joyce Kryder 12/25/2020

Joyce A. Kryder, age 97, died Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Deerfield Terrace in New Richmond. She was born the daughter of William and Myrtle Reed on August 6, 1923 in Freeport, IL. Joyce grew up in Freeport, IL graduating from Freeport High School. Following high school, Joyce worked several jobs as well as a homemaker and housewife. She married Harold Kryder on July 28, 1945. They were married for 46 years. Joyce met Arthur “Art” Sachse in 2006 at the Snowbird Club in Destin, FL and have been together ever since. She loved travelling especially to Florida in the winter. Joyce was a fun-loving person who you loved to be around. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; son, Todd; sister, Olivia (Robert) Strohacker; and brother, Raymond. Joyce is survived by her son, Reed (Sandi); daughter, LuAnn; partner, Arthur P. Sachse; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 1:00PM at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S. Knowles Ave) in New Richmond with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Freeport, IL. Cremation Services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
