Josephine Bauernfeind 12/22/2014

Josephine Marie “Josie” Bauernfeind, age 84 of Robbinsdale, MN, died on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Deerfield in New Richmond.  Josie was born the daughter of Michael and Anna Katherine (Lindenfelser) Huss on July 10, 1930 in Faribault, MN.  She was married to Robert L. Bauernfeind on July 31, 1946 in Faribault.  They moved to Robbinsdale, MN in 1960.  Josie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  In her later years, she worked at the Bibles for Missions Thrift Store.  She enjoyed crafts, quilting, painting, and refinishing furniture.  Josie was a spirited hard working woman.  She was loving and giving and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Anna Huss; husband, Robert Bauernfeind; son-in-law, Ken Heil; and brothers, John Huss, Frank Huss, Raymond Huss, Donald Huss, and Michael Huss.  Josie is survived by her daughters, Joan (Rick) Blaschack, Lois Heil, Judy (Rick) Haworth; grandchildren, Cathy Davidson, Jeremy (Melissa) Bauernfeind, Jason Heil, Joel (Jeralyn) Heil, Aliesha (Cade) Heiberg, Shauna (Chris) Kath; great-grandchildren, Kimberly Davidson, Timothy Davidson, Tom Davidson, Jackson Bauernfeind, Jacob Heil, Johanna Heil, Jaeden Heil, Jordan Heil, Sophia Heiberg, Reily Heiberg, Ethan Heiberg, Ella Heiberg; sisters, Delores Drehmel, Mary Gray, Theresa Garlie; and many other relatives and friends.  A Memorial Service was held on Friday, December 26, 2014 at 11 am at the Deerfield Chapel 1127 W 8th Street New Richmond, WI.  Visitation was also Friday from 10-11 am at the Deerfield.  Interment was in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
