It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dad, Jon Clark, on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the age of 77.

Jon was born on January 11, 1949 in Amery, Wisconsin to Stanley “Bud” and Helen Clark.  He was a proud graduate of Unity High School class of 1967.  As a 6’6” center, he held the school record for almost 40 years, for most free throws made in one game, and openly admitted to missing half!

He found his happiness spending weekends on Yellow Lake, taking us kids on a frozen lake to whip donuts, bowling on a couples league with our mom and his parents and telling stories around a camp fire.  After a new job opportunity took him to Colorado, he found a great love for the mountains.  He would load up his Jeep Wrangler with his hammock and his dog, Micky, and spend many nights sleeping under the stars in the crisp mountain air.

Jon will forever be missed by his children, Dawn Williams, Jon “Jay” (Linsey) Clark, and Allison Tank; grandchildren, Ryley, Bennett, Victoria and Raynee; and the mother of his children, Shirley Brumbaugh.

He was greeted into heaven by his parents, Bud and Helen; all his siblings, Judy, Kay, Keith and LuAnn; and son-in-law, Jerry Williams.

He was our gentle giant, whose stature was far bigger than his bite.

To honor his wishes, no services will be held.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
