John Troll Jr

April 26, 1937 – February 25, 2025

John Troll Jr. of New Richmond, WI passed away peacefully with his family at his side on February 25, 2025 at the age of 87. Born and raised in Easton, PA he graduated from Easton High School in 1955.  John was an Air Force Military Police veteran. He was also an Easton police officer.

In 1964, he met and married his wife Judy (Moe) and they relocated to Somerset, Wisconsin. John worked many years for American Hoist and Derrick and St. Paul Labor Studies.  After retiring from St. Paul Labor Studies, he owned and operated the Valley House restaurant in Houlton, WI until 1989 when they sold their business.

John Troll Jr. is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Martha Alekna and his son-in-law Gary Johnson and beloved dog Wrigley.  He is survived by his loving wife Judy Troll of 61 years, sister Lorraine (Richard) Hammerstone of Easton, PA and his children Peter (Eileen) Kutsopias, Kathy (Kyle) Colvin, Jody Johnson, Tracy (Chad) Bauer, Amy (Steve) Krumm along with his grandchildren Kate, Liz, Jenessa, Justina, Bailey, Madison, Cameron, McKenzie and Cory, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

John and Judy loved their years traveling to winter in Harlingen, TX and spending time with the many friends they made over the years.  He loved watching Western movies and any type of sports, including his support for both the Vikings and Packers, only to irritate his sons-in-law.  John’s love for spending time spoiling his grandchildren and his dog Wrigley brought him the most joy.

A visitation in memory of John Troll Jr. will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Cullen Crea Funeral Home, 307 S. Arch Street, New Richmond, WI 54017 from 2:30-5:30 PM with a short service at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
