John W. Townsend, age 75, of rural Star Prairie died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at his home.  John was born the son of Harold and Alice Townsend on December 12, 1944 in Adrian, MI. He graduated from Adrian High School, class of 1963. After high school, John attended multiple Universities including the University of Colorado, University of Pittsburg, and the Naval Nuclear Power program. He was active duty in the Navy from 1966-1971 as a lieutenant and part of the reserves for 10 years. John built two of his homes from scratch and resurrected a 1974 Porsche. He loved his two boys and his family. John is survived by his wife, Marti; two boys, Jason and Ryan (Alicia); two grandkids, Evelyn and Lucy; one sister, Marti Austin; and many other relatives and friends.
