John Fabricius 12/02/2020

John Karl Fabricius died on December 2, 2020 at Comforts of Home in Hudson, WI. John was born in Ames, IA on August 15, 1936. He graduated from Ladysmith High School in 1953 and graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Dairy Science in 1957. John’s career was as a chemical salesperson to the dairy industry. He served in the U.S. Army and was a lifelong Shriner. He also provided financial support to UWRF students in need. John’s favorite pastime was golf; he was a lifetime member at the River Falls Golf Club. He also was an avid supporter of UWRF athletics and a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. John is preceded in death by his brother, Russell, and parents Nick and Esther Fabricius. He is survived by his sister Mary (Fabricius) Aspenes; Aspenes nieces Katie (Carl), Ann (Scott), Karin (Lance) and nephew David Aspenes (Grace) as well as great nieces, nephews and dear friends. Memorials can be directed to Shriners Hospitals for Children. A Private Family Graveside Service for John was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A Memorial Service was held in River Falls in early Fall 2021. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
