Jodi Hauk 09/02/2011

Jodi Lea Hauk age 53 of River Falls died Friday, September 2, 2011 at United Hospital in St. Paul.  Jodi was born the daughter of Ron Harris and Brenda Bauer on March 24, 1958 in Glen Haven, Wisconsin.  She attended Cassville High School and graduated with the class of 1976.  Jodi attended the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse, then transferred to the University of Wisconsin Stout and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design.  On August 12, 1978, she was married to Brian Hauk in Cassville, Wisconsin.  She worked as graphic designer for a few years, then as they started their family, Jodi started a daycare business.  She provided daycare from their home for 17 years.  Jodi loved being a part of her children’s lives, encouraging and supporting them in whatever they were doing.  She enjoyed road trips with her mother and aunt, and got to spend Tuesdays with her granddaughter.  Jodi was wonderful, wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was nurturing, caring and inspiring.  She was strong willed, generous and loving.  Jodi is preceded in death by her in-laws, Walt and Marge Hauk; sister-in-law, Joyce Hauk; brothers-in-law, Richard, Mike and Bob Hauk, and Dave Junk; nephews, Nick Folger, Evan Hauk; and cousin, Eric Hampton.  She is survived by her husband, Brian Hauk; children, Cory (Juliet) Hauk, Chelsey Hauk, Kacey Hauk; granddaughter, Ellory Hauk; parents, Brenda (Fran) Bauer and Ron (Pat) Harris; siblings, Tami (Troy) Armagost, Brian Harris, Wade (Laura) Harris, Nikki (Don) Folger, Nate (Nicole Frei) Harris; brothers-in-law, Tom (Jan) Hauk, Bill (Amy) Hauk; sisters-in-law, Ellen (Greg) Koelker, Barb (Chuck) Wright, Kathy (Don) Russell, Lori (Dave) Fure, Betty (Russ) Peterson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  A memorial service was held Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church in River Falls.  Memorial visitation was Monday, September 5, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in River Falls and also Tuesday from 10-11 am at the church.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
