Joanne Krueger 12/27/2013

Joanne R. (Junkans) Krueger age 82 of New Richmond passed away peacefully December 27, 2013 surrounded by family and friends at Westfields Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. Born and raised in the Clear Lake, WI, married Doug Krueger on March 24, 1956, they had two children and lived in Star Prairie, WI. Joanne worked at Doboy Packaging for 33 years. She loved to cook, bake and care for family and friends. Joanne spent endless hours reading cookbooks and magazines; was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed playing cards and dice. Her grandson Cole was “The light of her life”. Joanne will be missed by her daughter, Mary Jo (Scott) Hansen; grandson, Cole Hansen; sister-in-law Delores Junkans, nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Doug Krueger; son, Mark Krueger; parents, Henry and Vida Junkans; infant twin sister, Jean Junkans; brother, Boyd Junkans; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris (Krueger) and Bo Holisky.

Visitation was held Monday, December 30, 2013 from 10:30-11:45 a.m., with the Funeral Service immediately following at 12:00 noon. Both services were held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in New Richmond where Joanne was a member. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery, Star Prairie, WI.
