Jerry R. Swenson, age 48 of Amery, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Region’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Jerry was born the son of Robert and Edith (Gibson) Swenson on September 5, 1964 in St. Croix Falls, WI. He was a graduate of Osceola High School. Jerry worked for New Richmond Industries and Federal Foam. He was a quiet man who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He was known for making great venison jerky and venison beer stix. Jerry spent much of his spare time metal detecting. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edith Swenson. Jerry is survived by his siblings, Clifford (Joanna) Swenson, Mark Swenson, Mary (Robert Cohoon) Swenson, Bruce Swenson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 1 pm at West Immanuel Lutheran Church. Memorial visitation was also Saturday from 12 – 1 pm at the church. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
