Jere Hendrickson 10/06/2022

Jere Hendrickson, age 74, died on Thursday, October 6, 2022 in her home. Jere was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 21, 1948 and was raised in St Paul, MN. Jere attended Central High School and the University of Minnesota. As a young adult she was a flight attendant with Northwestern Airlines and was a Real Estate Appraiser for the last 35 years. Jere was her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader, and a supportive and loyal friend.

Jere is known for her incredible sense of humor, wit, fashion and great storytelling. She had an adoration for horses, dogs, and bison; her other passions include building beautiful flower gardens and travel. Jere was committed to social justice and was honored to introduce and welcome Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to the UMN Campus in 1967. As a young girl she was an on pointe ballet dancer and ice-skater through her teens and played neighborhood ice hockey with friends.

Jere is survived by her children, Jennifer Rebecca Bendickson, Andrea Kara Kimlinger (Bendickson), Marissa Jeanette Bendickson; son-in-law, Alan Kimlinger; grandchildren, Alexandra Leonice Bendickson, and Accacia Lee Kimlinger. Jere is preceded by her father, George Allen and her uncle, Ross Sanderson. Memorials may be directed to the family in support of Jere’s casting ceremony. A Memorial Gathering was held on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 4:00-8:00PM at Troy Burne Golf Club (295 Lindsay Rd, Hudson, WI 54016).
