Jean Potter, age 77, died on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at her home. She was born the daughter of George and Mary Milliron on July 11, 1944 in New Richmond, WI. Jean grew up in Glenwood City and New Richmond, graduating from New Richmond High School, class of 1962. Following high school, Jean married Daniel Potter on July 2, 1962 in South Dakota. She worked for Connelly Shoe Factory and was a homemaker, raising five beautiful daughters. Jean loved birdwatching, embroidering, doing crossword puzzles, and playing Bingo. She was feisty, opinionated, and outspoken. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Milliron; husband, Daniel; siblings, George (Marlene) Milliron, Betty (Bill) Forest, Sarah (Vince) Lyons, Monica Roy; son-in-law, Rick Johnson; brother-in-law, Bud Kneringer. Jean is survived by her daughters, Kim (Joe) Johnson, Michelle (Brad) Tarman, Denice (Wade) Swiggum, Jenifer (Brad) Radinzel, Amy Johnson (Jeff Frank); grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Nicholas, and Zachary Johnson, Tyler, Jerrod, and Megan Tarman, Joshua Swiggum and Emmalee Doriott, Alexandra, Garrett, and William Radinzel, Kenneth Johnson and Kaitlyn Neibauer; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy (Joe) Casey, Rita (Walt) Andersen, and Pat Kneringer; brother-in-law, Tom Roy; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Per Jean’s wishes, no services will be held. Cremation Services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
