Jean Gilbertson 12/26/2012

Jean M. Gilbertson, age 68 of River Falls,  died on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at her home.  Jean was born the daughter of Rudy and Florence (Colbeth) Larson on April 24, 1944 in River Falls.  She is a graduate of River Falls High School, and attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls  for two years.  On September 12, 1964, Jean married Neal Gilbertson at St. Bridget’s Church in River Falls.  She worked as a teller for the River Falls State Bank for many years.  Jean enjoyed reading, decorating her home, and spending time at the family cabin near Siren, WI.  She was a strong Christian who was polite and kind, and always put others before herself.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Florence Larson.  Jean is survived by her husband, Neal Gilbertson; sons, Todd Gilbertson and Kye Gilbertson; and many other relatives and friends.  A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11 am at the River Falls Assembly of God.  Visitation was Friday, December 28, 2012 from 4-8 pm at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home in River Falls and Saturday from 10-11 am at the church.  Spring interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to River Falls Assembly of God.  Arrangements were with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
