Jan Miller 02/17/2016

Janice S. Miller age 83 of River Falls died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Kinnic Health and Rehab in River Falls.  She was born the daughter of Ralph and Ragna (Jenson) Solum on May 20, 1932 in Woodville, WI.  On November 7, 1951, she wed Edward E. Miller.  Jan was a homemaker and in the early 1950’s worked at the telephone company.  Jan is remembered as a very social person.  She always kept in touch with friends and family.  Her involvement at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, playing cards (especially euchre), and flowers were things that she enjoyed.  Jan loved to shop for clothes and loved her birds and nick knacks.  She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Barb) Miller, Chris (Jean) Miller; grandson, Matthew (Brittany) Miller; great grandson, Hunter Edward Elery Miller; brother-in-law, Jerry (Debbie) Miller; and many nieces, nephews and relatives and friends.  Jan is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; sister, June (Earl) Clay; and brother, Jerome (Gloanne) Solum.   A memorial service was held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 1:30 pm at Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls.  Visitation was also Wednesday from 12:30-1:30 at the church.  Private interment will take place at a later date at Pine Glen Cemetery in Prescott.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
