James Knippel 04/11/2018

James Robert Knippel, age 77, fell asleep in Jesus on April 11th, 2018 in River Falls, Wisconsin with his daughter Jayme and his wife Carol by his side, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Jim was born in Colfax, Wisconsin on November 10th, 1940 to Irene Price and Robert Edwin Knippel. He was Baptized and Confirmed and grew up on the family farm in rural Colfax with his sisters Ellie (Dick) Panek and Linda (Bill) Monroe. Like many growing up on the farm in those days, he loved horses, was proud of showing pigs at the Wisconsin State Fair and learned a lot about life and hard work with the daily chores.
On April 15th, 1961, Jim married Janice Marie Brunn and together they had three children: Robert James (Mary Beth) of Waukesha; Susan Kay Knegendorf (best friend Scott Spilde) of Spring Valley; Jayme Lynn Pax (Eric) of Baldwin. Jim counted among his many blessings his six grandchildren: Michael Pax, Thomas Knegendorf, Adam Knegendorf, Corey Pax, Emily Knippel, Tyler Knippel, and 10 great grandchildren.
Jim married Carol Morgan in 1991, and added to his family Carol’s son Mike, and grandsons Jon and Matt Morgan. Jim loved to hunt, enjoyed camping with Carol, and didn’t miss an opportunity to be at the many special events of his grandchildren. He will be missed!
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 5th at 11 AM at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 545 Apollo Road, River Falls, WI.  Family greeting from 10 AM to 11 AM at the church. Jim’s grandchildren will serve as honorary Pall Bearers. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
