James Kent Howe, born on October 17, 1958, in New Richmond, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly at home. He was raised in Star Prairie, Wisconsin, with time spent in Missouri and Pennsylvania before returning to his roots in Star Prairie. James attended New Richmond High School and later earned his G.E.D. from WITC in New Richmond.
On September 7, 1984, James married Julie Ann Larson, beginning their journey together. James briefly served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard and spent his working years at 3M and Airworthy Aerospace.
James had a deep love for Nascar, cheering for the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers, collecting coins, and tinkering with household items. His homemade cheesecake was a favorite, remembered fondly by all who were lucky enough to taste it.
James is survived by his beloved wife, Julie; his daughter, Mandy Atzmiller (Nick); his son, James Howe (Tracy); his sister, Christi Koch (Larry); his brother, Dustin Howe; and his cherished grandchildren, Chase, Reese, Brynn, Jack, and Zoe. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Howe; his mother, Helen Howe (Teske); and his brother, Robert Howe.
A celebration of James’ life was held on Saturday September 7, 2024, at the Star Prairie Sports Bar from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come and share memories, and in true Jim fashion, raise a Pabst Blue Ribbon in his honor. Cremation Services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
